My name is Ashley Gallusser. I have been teaching for eleven years. I have experience teaching almost every grade level. However, the majority of my career has been in the intermediate grades. I am incredibly excited about teaching fifth grade again this year!
I graduated from Pikeville College in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I graduated from Indiana University Southeast in 2009 with a Masters degree in Elementary Education. In 2011, I earned my National Boards in literacy: reading-language arts for early and middle childhood (ages 3-12).
I am originally from Pike County, Kentucky but I relocated to Louisville in 2006. In 2013, my sweet daughter Brooke Marie was born! She and I have so much fun together!!! We love visiting the zoo, splash parks, playgrounds, and any place that has an arcade area! Besides spending time with my sweet daughter, I enjoy going to lots of different concerts. I love all different types of music but country music is probably my favorite and the types of shows I see most often! One thing I love to do is run! I run in lots of races around Louisville for 5k's, 10k's, and I have completed one mini marathon. This year my goal is to complete the full marathon.
Please feel free to contact me any time you have a question, concern, or just want to discuss something. I truly believe that if parents, teachers, and students work together, success will be inevitable! I am very excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to meeting all of you and your families. We are going to have a wonderful year of learning in fifth grade!!!
Thank you,
Ms. Gallusser
